Just sharing something I have found kind of humorous lately.

I got stuck in rush-hour traffic again today. (Not the funny part)

I went out to take copies of rental docs to my newest roomer, not paying any attention to what time it was.

It occurred to me that - since I don't go to a paycheck job any more - I hardly am aware of what time it is, or even the day (I also thought today was Thursday). I just plug along, doing my thing.

It's a good thing I can set appointments and alerts on my phone to remind me of stuff. I'm always setting alarms for myself.

Can you relate? --68.10.xxx.x

It's either breakfast time, lunchtime or dinnertime.

When the rain stops and the roses come out it's June.

I know the time because it is on my phone. I don't know days! I remember the famous line from Downton Abby by Dame Maggie Smith: "What is a weekend?"

We schedule appointments for everything. --50.82.xxx.xx

Been retired now for 4+ years and have the same problem. :)

I do try and know when it is Saturday because I do not want to be caught by surprise if I make a quick run to Lowes, grocery store or any other retailer and then find myself in the Sat madhouse. --100.6.xxx.xxx

LOL- I've done that, too Rich. Shopping at the wrong time.

I do know it's Saturday - rent collection day at the rooming house. And DEPOSIT day at the credit union. --68.10.xxx.x

I have three little rescue dogs. If I am not aware of what time it is, they are and let me know. --173.61.xxx.xx

I don't have a problem with time. It's the days that I can't remember. Have to look at my phone to know. --24.233.xxx.xx

I avoid rush hour traffic, I do my running around during the day, sometimes early morning. NOT on the weekend and NOT on the first of the month. You stay away from the grocery store and Walmart near the first of the month! --108.4.xxx.xx

I think the band Chicago sang a song about this. It goes: Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care? --100.6.xx.xxx

Retired 10 years from day job(s). My week has 6 Saturdays and a Sunday. I don't care what time it is. I never know what the date is until I look at my phone or fitbit. Glad I did today; realized our anniversary is on Wednesday so I'd better get a card for DH in the next day or two. --24.176.xxx.xxx

Since I retired last year I have reverted to the sun dial. If its light daytime, if it's dark, night time. Anything more granular than that has an appointment set in my phone.

Order groceries on line for pickup so I don't even go into the store and live in a smaller town so we refer to it as rush minute. --50.26.xx.xxx

Gee, I've only been retired for a year and already lost track. Only paid attention to the date today because we are going white water rafting in Montana tomorrow!

I do not "do" rush hour. I refuse to go any place that HAS a rush hour anymore.

Here's a song for all those trapped behind the lines on an LA Freeway.
