Just a knob? It's easy to replace. Get the model number and look online for appliance parts. Repair Clinic dot com is one that has most everything. --216.186.xxx.xx

I agree, the online parts suppliers should have something that works. A new stove for a knob seems excessive to me in a low margin business. --70.30.xx.xxx

Hi there, yes I agree but Hotpoint knobs are not the type you can just pull off and replace. The lever is attached to the knob inside the appliance. I called for appliance service call today. Thank you!! --70.168.x.xxx

Hot Point, if my memory serves correctly, is a low-end GE product. If this turns out to cost more than $50 to have serviced I'd probably just look for another one. --24.20.xxx.xxx

Find a used appliance store, they may have a used part to fit your stove.

If it's only a knob, fix it.

If something like the circuit board goes bad, or if your stove is 10 years or older, look at replacing it, because parts can be more expensive than a new stove. --99.59.x.xxx
