Washing machine is only about 2 months old. There is no water visible in the tub, but when you touch the agitator you can hear water sloshing around loudly.
PLEASE SEE BELOW POST. --47.41.xxx.xxx |

Is what you hear in that video a problem? For some reason it is much quieter on youtube than it was just on my phone. A google search tells me that this might be normal - water always inside to help balance loads? - but I'm not sure. --47.41.xxx.xxx |

Washer tubs have a sealed ring in them with a solution to help with balancing. It’s normal to hear that, is the machine not working or you just heard that noise and didn’t think it sounded right? --71.248.xxx.xxx |

Just thought I would give a follow up. The washer is under warranty and the manufacturer had me call a local repair person because they had no idea what was going on. The guy I spoke to thinks that it is probably normal to hear all that water sloshing around. He said that they used to use concrete to balance washers and now a lot of companies are using water instead and that there is probably an entire gallon of water under the tub! I asked if that can lead to mildew and he said it would probably start to smell bad if someone didn't do laundry for 3 weeks. --47.41.xxx.xxx |

Do you have a roomate that questions a sink disposal? --76.188.xxx.xx |

Vee, Not sure what you mean. There is no sink disposal. I had never encountered this "water to balance machine" thing before as my personal washer doesn't have that and all of the ones that I had previously encountered didn't either. It seems that all is well with the machine I was concerned about. --47.41.xxx.xxx |
