Glad to see the site back up
Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Jefferey & Rick for all you do to provide & maintain this site for benefit of Landlords everywhere.
I'm sure it's not easy trying to keep everyone satisfied.
PS Rick, whenever I have trouble with my computers, I just give a good whack with my hammer. If you ever need one I'd be happy to send you a nice 28 oz framing hammer. (g)

Glad to see it back up -- thanks for the work to do that!
Did you maybe have to go to a backup? I've noticed that some recent posts are missing from this version. (For example, I know I replied to the "Mypeteverywhere.com" post with some information about how the airline law differs from what we have to follow -- and that it was under DOT and not HUD. There was even some interaction/replies after that. Those all seem to be missing?

Hey guys, I simply just want to say that I appreciate seeing you back. This last week has been extremely challenging for Rick, so much so that for the first time in nearly 25 years he had to expand the team of professionals working with him , And there are still some challenges to do with the forum, (your prayers would be appreciated because there are still challenges that need to be overcome) and other parts of the site that are being brought back to life. Yes, John we had to go to a back up that did not include a day of postings. Steve we may still need your hammer yet:).
Though my fear over the past several days was not about the physical forum. No, my biggest fear was that "you" guys after seeing the forum not working, would not return once we got it back up. While Rick was expanding his team and adding more components behind the scenes, assuring me that things would be brought back even better than before, I knew (and have always known from the beginning), that the biggest asset to this forum are the people.
As you know, this is not the most fanciest forum:). And I get sometimes get joked about the "old school" look, as people ask "why not go with the newer looking forums", which eventually I may be forced to do. However for as long as I can, we are going with this baby that has so many features (under the hood) which Rick has poured his creative genius into over the years and of which I am so appreciative,
But back to the point I wish to stress at this time. It is that whether it is this old-school style bulletin board of a forum or a fancy new format, I am thankful to the hundreds of landlords who contribute every week, who add to the success of the the tens of thousands who visit every month. Again, it's YOU who make this site what it is and it is so good to see you back:) And, it would help make me feel even better as I see more of you posting, even if all you say is that 'I'm back!" --172.58.xxx.xx |

Where else can you find a group of people willing to offer help, let others learn from their issues, keep on top of changes to legislation/irs/screening changes and also get a good laugh? Glad it’s back up. I only stumbled upon this site about 2 months ago, but have learned so much from all the posts, even if I only read what others are saying but didn’t have anything to add. I missed it while it was down and was checking multiple times a day to see if it was back up. JKJ, you should come to the Convention in Cleveland!! Especially for smaller LLs starting out, it's a game changer. And then the camaraderie of meeting OTHER LLs is priceless.
