You can't make this stuff up.
A Staten Island, NY elderly woman gets huge bills from her electric company, addressed to the cable company which leases access to the pole in front of the house.
She has been getting these bills for months, called and complained many times, to no avail.
The other day we had a post about an electric company going after a LL for tenant's bill.
I guess this is how they do it, go after the weak and innocent.

I always take pictures of the utility meters when my tenants are leaving and compare them to my opening bill. In the picture I have the serial number of the meter and the reading. Also I always get a copy of one utility bill from my tenant for my records.
Then when I receive my first bill, the utility company try's to charge me for my tenants unpaid bills. They pull the old meter and install a new one thinking I'm just going to pay the bill. But with my proof, I go after them. Big time. --47.156.xx.xx |
