I have a shower pan with a tight narrow crack in it. Years ago, I used a product on another shower pan and this stuff was awesome. It was kinda like shoe goo; it was clear and I think it was a two part epoxy, but when dry, it stayed flexible like shoe goo does. I think it was called something like 'Mr. Stickey' or something like that.

Do any of you know the name of the product I'm looking for?????

Thanks in advance.

What caused the crack?

Fiberglass pan? Mesh tape and resin to fix?

I had a pan crack and determined because resident was a "big un" 6'7" and 350+ His size and moving around caused the pan to crack. Also, toilets get torn loose by "big uns". Not really their fault.Big trucks crack roads. Not really any different. Just have to reinforce everything - double joists around fixtures, extra bracing, etc. When doing repairs or floor replacements, double or triple everything. It's inexpensive when doing it and makes a big difference. --23.121.xx.xxx

Ed,

Flexing is the problem. Like NE said whatever you do the crack will be back as long as the flex is there.

(Flexseal??)

Any way to get UNDER that crack to secure it?

Any fix you do on a hairline crack is going to be temporary. And if the shower pan is old enough, you probably will be getting more cracks. The best thing to do is replace it.

Rebath might be able to "cover" it. --108.4.xxx.xx

If it's a second story, then expect some shifting. Is it the pan that's cracked, or the tile on the shower floor? --108.69.xxx.xxx
