Got my Clog Hog yesterday, used it today to clean out the field lines on a clogged septic tank.
I used it with a 3,000 pound 3 gpm gas pressure washer.
I believe it saved me a drain field replacement today.
It is a little finicky, but works as advertised. I flushed the water lines thoroughly before starting and used brand new water hoses. Even at that, the nozzle clogged three times in three hours. The holes are tiny!
It flushed out a considerable amount of solids,and before we were done, the water was flowing through the drain field like it is supposed to.
I added a cleanout at the distribution box so I can use the Clog Hog later without having to dig. Also allows me to add enzyme or copper sulfate without affecting the septic tank itself.
I'd give it 4.5 of 5 stars. I did this job for $300 instead of $3300, so I'm pretty happy with the results.

It doesn't really help with roots, but it will remove all the stuff from around the roots.
Then you can add copper sulfate for the roots while they are exposed. --98.122.x.xx |

You have a good strong flow of water, 3000 psi at 3 gpm. For flushing loose build ups the Clog Hog is great. But if this were a sewer pipe with years of rust and junk caked to the sides, then your results could have been different. Glad it worked for you. Robert, I don't have a single piece of cast iron pipe. All plastic. My oldest property is an 82.

We have had reasonably good luck with it. It and the hose bladder are first line of defense. If we can’t get it with one of those then it’s rent an auger or call the pro. By we I mean my helper. One of the things I like about it is he can feed it through a roof stack by himself on the places with no clean out. He can’t do that with an auger. It has definitely paid for itself. --70.178.x.xx |
