What is the best way to return a rent payment that was put directly into an account...
This is an evection with a court hearing in two days. It is too far to drive. It’s about two hours one way. I would like to overnight it, but I don’t want to give the resident the chance to say they did not get it. What would you recommend? If I have to drive it and posted to the door I will I’m just not looking forward to the four hours.

At my corner UPS store, privately owned, the owner is a licensed Notary. For a fee, I have him notarize a copy of my return payment check. Put the check in an envelope, seal it and address it to my tenant -- and mails it via ups. He also provides me with a short letter saying that me mailed it and I have a tracking number for evidence.
