Just spoke to a wanna-be roomer on the phone. Why does he want to rent a room? Go ahead, guess!
Cause he called he cops on his wife for trying to kill his son, and his mother-in-law blames him for her daughter being in jail so she kicked him out!
About half a dozen red flags in one (run-on) sentence.
Phew!! No thanks!
OH - and he works in the same restaurant and gets along well with the roomer I just had leave.
He doesn't get his first paycheck until Thursday. Told him call back after he gets a couple of them. Hopefully he'll talk to other guy in the meantime and he'll say something bad about living there / being asked to leave. Make it easier for me.

My recent stories, can't even begin to compare to that level of "red flag, clearing house" of crazy, but my most recent vacancy has taught me that it's a different day out there! So, so much weirdness.

The good ones I have are: a retiree, a young man who gets a disability check but also works 2 jobs, The man who is new in the area, employed, & saving up for his own place, a guy who does maintenance at a nearby university & just likes to "keep it simple".
I screen out violent 7 drug convictions and recent evictions.
