How do you respond to bad smell complaints? I think it is one of my most dreaded due to the fact that we fix what we can but my husband is no longer able to crawl around under a mobile home to investigate what might be a mouse or opossum. We needed to change the filter on A/C and DH thought something was wrong with it because the unit felt warm inside. Come to find out tenant says he had switched it to heat even though our low was only 66 last night! It was in the 80's here yesterday! But I digress....

We live in the country so dead varmints/critters is a fact of life here. We asked if they had put any Decon out and they said no, so at this point I'm thinking of spraying a little Pine-sol around the area & just forget it. Time will take care of it, but both BF & GF have called today. --71.51.xxx.xxx

I have a mobile home in a country like setting. We bought these plug in things, three is a package. Has a little light and sends out a sound that we can not hear. But it deters mice. We bought a feed store but since I've seen them at Lowe's. Three plug in cost $20. And they work! If it's dead animal it will stop in a few days, unless it's a really big animal. Do you have any services like Critter Control? Perhaps it is a franchise. Spread the word you are seeking a farm boy to assist your husband... One is the brain the other the back! --66.87.xxx.xxx

Worst smell I ever had was dead cat on a Friday night after stores closed. I got a bag of lime and mulch and dumped them behind the bush where it was until it was covered. If someone can shovel some lime and mulch in there it might help. --73.178.xxx.xx

Oh, man - finding the dead animal that crawled up under a MH is a real skill - and hassle. I vote for extra air freshener until it stops rotting in a few days.

Never heard of those plug in things Plenty has, but it sure sounds worthwhile to try. Other than that, put out some Dcon as you suggested. --68.10.xxx.xxx

Bad smells are almost impossible to track down. Cleaned carpets 2 x , and still smelly. Finally found out, under house a septic line had a break in it. Fixed it and put down a bunch of kitty litter since everything was closed except the dollar store. So glad it was found, finally! --69.160.xxx.xxx
