Scanners? What is the best scanner for scanning documents as in forms Landlord type activities? I switched from a Windows PC to a MAC 3 years ago. I am using a Epson 4500 printer which works GREAT for printing with the ink tanks. I LOVE IT!

However the software for scanning is lacking.

I am looking for a stand alone scanner that the Accompanying software will allow me to easily input information in forms.

With the Epson printer I have found it necessary to print the forms out then scan the print out and copy and paste into a blank .pages document., Then reinvent the form. It takes a ton of time.

Looking for a better solution.

I am not willing to install any Microsoft software for MAC. This is why I got away from Windows PC’s. Because of the viruses hacks instabilities of Windows OS.

I’ve gone MAC and I am not willing to load any windows software.

Any tips on .pages I’m all ears as well.

Josh CA

I use a fujitsu scanner. Scans up to 50 pages both sides at a time. I've noted them used in many Dr. offices. Don't know if they have a Mac driver. You might look into them. --47.157.xxx.xxx

Fujitsu ScanSnap

I liked it so much I bought 5 - one for each desk.

It is one of the few tech items I've purchased that actually WORKS! One that hiccups is worthless.

My court just installed these.

Check on Amazon for a rebuilt.

I also use ScanSnap. Tried several and this is the best especially with all of the options besides just PDF. Their support is great even years after your product is out of warranty.Scan Snap is available for MAC.

The only one I'd advise you to stay away from is NEAT. The Software is awful and the scanning is very slow at least in comparison to ScanSnap. --71.75.xx.xx

NEAT is a horrible scanner I have a $500 paper weight / Door Stop. I spent months trying to get that thing to work as did the User base about 3 years ago. People who had used Neat for years decided to upgrade to the highly advirtised Neat Scanner lost all kinds of their work. What a Giant mess. --47.39.xx.xxx
