Rental with pool (by Jaime [IL]) Posted on: Jun 5, 2012 8:26 AM

I am first time landlord. I am moving due to a job relocation and would like to rent with home. Currently it has an above ground pool in a fenced yard. I need to know my liability if I choose to rent the house with the pool. Pross, Cons?

Thank you

liability aside no one is going to take care of the thing properly. Take it down before you move.

I strongly agree with Reid.

Sell it cheap or give it away.

Too much liability.

No agreement of anykind will hold water when child gets injured in a pool.

If it's above ground it shouldn't be too bad to take it down. Then when you move, build an inground one - I love mine. Last night I sat on the deck in my reclining deck chair, watching the game by the pool with the waterfall and tiki torches going. Most relaxing thing in the world!

Get rid of the pool.
