State Specific Question About: NEVADA (NV)

We have an LLC with several single familty homes as rental properties in title of the LLC.

We want to get insurance under the LLC name for proper coverage. I can't find a company that will underwrite the policy in the name of LLC.

This is crazy. Can anyone with an LLC and single family homes as rentals tell me what company they used.

We don't want to keep the insurance in our name.

Also, beyond the property coverage what are others doing for supplemental liability insurance against lawsuits?

Company General Liability??

Company Umbrella Liability??

Both of which I can't find a carrier either without combining everything.

thanks

We use Farmers, Cash Value Policy with underling Liability. We found this most cost efficient. --65.89.xx.xxx

Farm Bureau.

I think you know this, but do NOT personally pay for insurance for a property owned by an LLC. You are NOT the owner. --70.128.xxx.xxx

Ok, so how do the previous 3 replies have anything to do with the original post? Sometimes I just don't get it. We are NOT getting rid of the LLC. We have started several companies before and having the separation of personal finances is extremely prudent.

I've got to believe there's someone out there that has gotten insurance for rental properties through their company. --67.180.xx.xx

As stated above, our LLC attained coverage from Farmers Mutual, Cash value policy with underlying Liability. Cash value is key here Replacement coverage will be cost prohibitive. --65.89.xx.xxx

we found the mortgage companies would not allow us to put properties into an LLC. Everything is in a trust. We carry insurance personally and also have an umbrella policy. --71.96.xxx.xx

Ive used State Farm. Home owner rental dwelling policy written the LLC's name. Could never find an Insurance for the LLC itself though. --66.33.xxx.xxx
