Any landlords have any experience in filing for a property tax reduction in Clark County? Did you do it yourself or hire a firm? --72.25.xx.x |

I haven't tried it. Lori [NV] is not Clark County, and I don't recall many other NV landlords on this forum.

I am in Elko County, far from clark county . Our property values have remained the same while other parts of Nevada have tanked. I guess a perk for us in the rurals. So sorry, I'm no help. --74.45.xx.xx |

I donated money to the Prop 13 for Nevada initiative but the public employee unions in Nevada sued and kept it off the ballot - Prop 13 is a godsend for LLs in California. If you want a permanent cap on tax increases, support your local tax fighters and try to pass Prop 13 in Nevada. No need to appeal high property taxes when a Prop 13 will cap them permanently! --68.7.xxx.xxx |

WL, Prop 13 and adjusting your property valuation for tax assessments are completely unrelated subjects. In L.A. County, while Prop 13 was already the law of the land, I did a property tax appeal after property values tanked.
