When you serve a 5-day notice do you count Saturday and Sunday?

The Kansas LL handbook Pg45-46 concerning the three day Quit or pay notice ( We don't have the 5 day) can be served as soon as rent is not paid and no exception is made for weekends . " The law requires that no less than 3 days be given, If delivered by mail an additional 2 days from date of mailing must be allowed. You may give more days if you like ". --69.155.xx.xx |

verify on WI law but "typically"... The first day is the day after the notice is served. Then count every day on the calendar, including weekends and holidays. If the last day of the notice period falls on a holiday or weekend, then the notice period ends the next work day.
