State Specific Question About: NEVADA (NV)

I just noticed an obscure section of the Nevada Revised Statutes NRS118.165. I have 2 rental units. I had no idea this law was in place, nor can I see its purpose.

Apparently I as a landlord am supposed to provide my tenants, annually every July, a statement showing what portion of their monthly rent represents property taxes that I pay on the unit.

I haven't done this and didn't even know about it. The taxes are not deductible by the tenant. I don't understand the purpose of the law.

Has anyone heard of this? --68.104.xx.xxx

Ignore it. It is doubtful the "mattress" police will come for you --64.12.xxx.xx

I do that on monthly invoices for my commercial tenants, so they can check my NNN reconciliation figures at year's end. The added bonus is that they hold the city more accountable for their actions and services, or lack thereof. A pretty strong Main Street Association has been the direct result of empowering downtown tenants with RE Tax facts. The is not the Chamber of Commerce. That's owned by the city

Lots of strange laws out there. Weird ones get ignored. Did you know it was once illegal in New York to take a bath from November to March of each winter, Fear of pneumonia or something. --76.115.x.xx
