Who is "they"? Sounds like the tenant may have used a false name. Get an eviction attorny to handle this as it sounds like the tenants maybe professionals.

Alais summons is what the courts are calling the process. Larmier county courts colorado

I filed for FED sherriffs office only didi a posting and it needs to be personel service. Need to refile under an alias summons. But the instructions that the courts gave do not list an alias summons approach. Has nothing to do with the tenant just the court house. --67.41.xxx.xx

An alias summons is a replacement summons issued to replace a defective summons or a summons that was defectively served.

It is not something dealing with John Doe or with a defendant who is using a fictitous name.

In this case, you posted that the service was defective -- posted instead of personally served. So you need to have the clerk issue a new summons (the "alias summons") so that it can be served all over again, correctly this time.

(Once a summons is served on all parties, it is "returned" to the court. So the sheriff or process server can't simply re-serve it. They need a new one (the "alias summons") to be issued before they can serve it again.)

I have no idea what "FED" stands for in your post. The federal courts are presumably not involved, and the Federal Gov't is the only "FED" I know of.
