State Specific Question About: KENTUCKY (KY)

I have read that pre-payment of rent is illegal in some states. I'm wondering if KY is one of them. I have a prospective tenant that wants to pay 3 months ahead. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. --74.128.xxx.xx

Prepayment can muddy up the water if you discover reasons to evict...sometimes druggies like to attempt this approach, or possible tenant stacking issues...

I sometimes accept prepayment of existing tenants with a good record for a month or two with a valid reason...like out of the country on a mission, etc...but I would never consider prepayment from an applicant that suggests this...too many past reports on this board from others about related problems.... --71.168.xx.xxx
