State Specific Question About: WISCONSIN (WI)

when you evict a tenant are you allowed to charge double the rent from the time the tenant received a 5-day notice until they actually, physically move out?

I believe that you can in Wisconsin, but not sure when the clock start ticking. You would be better off to contact an attorney.

I could have done this, but haven't as of yet. I didn't want the judge to think I was being greedy.

You are permitted to charge double rent on the day after the notice expires and may continue until the tenant vacates or the writ is served, whichever is first. --70.92.x.xx
