I understand you can rent your rentals to insurance companies for families that may experienced a fire, etc. Is there anyone on here that has experienced this and were you happy with results.
I also understand there is a market to rent to Travel nurses -
If you have had experience I would like to know what you thought and if you had a good experience
Thanks.

Yes. I do this. Use the search tool above and search other years for ALE Solutions. --172.59.xxx.xx |

You would be giving up the your (landlord's) greatest tool to prevent damage to your rental - the right to screen occupants prior to occupancy. --73.114.xxx.xxx |

I did this a couple of years ago after a tornado here. I would gladly do it again. It was through CRS Temporary Housing. It was a year lease, so I did not receive a premium. They would have paid a premium if they needed a shorter lease.
You do get to screen the occupants and collect a deposit. These occupants will mostly be homeowners, so they likely have jobs, bank accounts, etc. and would be on the easier side of collections if there was damage beyond your security deposit.
Don't be afraid to try new things. --68.1.xxx.xxx |

I did it once for a displaced family. I screened them, as much as I did back then, and I met them at the apartment before we signed.
They stayed longer than expected because of the weather holding up construction. Left the place nice when gone.
I would do it again. There is not enough call for it to leave a place empty just for them. I used ALE Solutions as well. --47.227.xx.xxx |

Kay,
I've never done the insurance housing, but would if the opportunity arose - based on the experience of folks here.
I am fully involved in "travel nurse" rentals. LOVE them! They're called Mid-term rentals (MTR) They are not short-term (STR), which is a week or 2 - or shorter- for vacationers or travelers.) And are not a year lease, or MTM with the intention of it being a "permanent" home.
MTR's are generally for 3 months at a time, but that can vary. They are not just for nurses anymore. Many types of professional on temporary work assignments use them, too. Their popularity is growing. "Locals" who cannot qualify for "regular" housing also try to get it.
What else do you want to know? If you want to enter this market, there is specific training & research you need. --72.218.xx.xxx |

Tenantwhisperer- keep in mind if you cant hold the insurance company responsible the tenant living in your house is rebuilding there own home which will make it easy to find them, sue them and attach a judgment against them --208.115.xxx.xx |
