It’s not an albino, but a White Shepherd is the same dog as a German Shepherd. A White Shepherd came from selective breeding of white coat lines in the German Shepard breed. Same exact dog, only it’s white. --72.93.xxx.xx |

Yes, it is a regular German shepherd with a white coat (not an albino,). A "Swiss Shepherd" is also a German Shepherd with a white colored coat.
Insurance companies aren't going to accept a wolf or part wolf. Most won't accept a German Shepherd. If your insurance company says no German Shepherds, they are not going to allow a white shepherd.

There are a few variations to the German Shepherd Dog breed. There are full coat long hairs, and white, plus the black/tan/rust coloring. White shepherds have typically been sickly breeds or inferior in the shepherd lineage.
You don't have a white shepherd, but a white German Shepherd Dog. Yes, the word Dog is official part of the name of the breed from the literal German translation of Deutscher Schäferhund.
Either way, I bet your insurance company won't give you the benefit of the doubt. Plus I don't think there is such a thing as a white shepherd as a different breed. --108.69.xxx.xxx |
