Rats in the Yard #4 (by fred [CA]) Sep 2, 2019 8:15 PM

After 4 rats caught and probably 2 which consumed poison we see reduced activity on the front line.

I got the neighbor's tenant to cooperate a little by spreading poison on his side, which could be the reason for the reduced activity.

We will continue with fresh peanut butter laced with poison for the rest of the week and see the results next week.

Let me tell you, rats are extremely smart, too bad they are not using their brains to solve world's problems.

Using poison is risky. A neighbor used poison and a rat was able to get inside the wall and die. They had to cut 4 holes in the outside wall before they found the dead rat. I stick to traps with peanut butter and oatmeal to give it a semi solid clump. --99.23.xxx.x

My wife has 7 chickens. With the open food bowls with grain in them, I had a rat infestation. They started breeding in our shed and would only come out after about 930pm. They would enter the coop and feed on the grain. One night my wife just happened to go out to the coop after 10 with a flashlight. She counted over 10 rats in the coop.

I went to lowes and bought the green rat blocks. With in 72 hours, I removed over 30 rats. This poison works great. If another animal eats the dead carcus, the poison wont affect them. It takes like eating 70 carcuses to get the same poison as consuming it directly.

Rats follow walls and obsticles. They will not go into the center of the room. So put the blocks up against the wall where you see a lot of rat poop. You will see the block has been eaten with in 12 hours. The stuff really does work well. --70.184.xxx.xx
