Just arrived. It's a water pressure sprayer that sucks up the water from a bucket (no garden hose required) and a battery powered gun that looks like a drill. 960 psi. Amazon. $120?
Dewalt make one but with much lower pressure.
I plan for the crew to use it to wash down front porch siding that never gets rain, maiboxes, trash toters, showers and tubs, small jobs where a gas powered machine needing hoses is too cumbersome. Housekeeper can use it.
We'll see.
VERY FEW IF ANY people use hoses at rentals so we usually remove garden spigots (hose bibs) to avoid vandals playing with the water.

I have several of those devices. A 40 volt battery and a 5 gallon bucket with either 400, 600 or 800 psi output. Good when you have no water or power to do stuff around building. Also Ryobi has a 600 psi with low, med and high. Using their 18 bolt battery. --47.155.xx.x |

What is the brand of the one you bought?
Have you tested it out yet?

I have the one from Dewalt. I think it is 60v. Daughter used it to wash down windows outside at her place.

Milk jugs work great to haul water. I installed a native planting front yard last year….and we had a drought. Not wanting to use tenant’ resources, or bother tenants by hauling hose from the back, I saved milk jugs during my planning stage, and filled fifteen or twenty gallons each time I went.
Some eventually got leaks, so I did have to keep an eye out for that, send the leakers to recycling. --172.59.xx.xx |

I have a lot of five gallon buckets that seal.
I also have a few 35 and 55 gallon drums I could fill up from my house.

We have a couple of those 5 gal blue jugs from the camping aisle. No excuse to whine about not having water available at a work site.
We carry $10 WalMart gift cards for favors from neighbors, like some water, plug in an extension cord, poke a directional sign in their corner lot, "please call me if you see trouble"...
And yes I have driven MANY times with a cleaned spackle bucket half full of water. Just no sudden stops or sharp turns! Save the lid and go 3/4 full.

To transport water, four one gallon jugs fit perfectly in a square plastic milk crate. I always find empty jugs in the trash at the auto supply, people bought window washer fluid and filled their reservoir.
Second strategy is a five gallon plastic water cooler jug, placed into the same square plastic milk crate to keep it stable in the truck. No splashing like with a bucket. --73.141.xxx.xxx |

I like the idea about the 5 gallon water jug. Opening is wide enough to get the hose into for the power washer and holds more while not being so heavy it is a burden to move around.
I have a few square jugs of that size but they are mostly full of food stuff.
Would not recommend using actual milk jugs as they are very weak. Not made to last and they leak easily. Learned that lesson many years ago. --107.147.xx.xx |
