Re: no flintstone house

Thought I would repost an item I mention in that thread.

In VT a guy tried to get a permit to build a building for many years and the town wouldn't approve it so he built a 'sculpture' that is a giant middle finger facing the road and they can't do anything about it. You gotta check it out. Hilarious

Somewhere along the line people forgot that WE own our govt -- not visa versa

Freedom and Liberty are not passed down through the generations - they must be fought for every day

There is a true sickness in America today with BIG Govt and the only thing a single person can do today is to vote with your feet and move because life is way way to short

There is an identical middle finger 8' tall statue along the intercostal waterway in Ft Lauderdale that we see every day we head out to scuba dive Its happening everywhere.

I am glad I am old living in "Live free or Die" NH so I dont have to witness what you all go through daily. Cisgender bathrooms, Mini horse Comfort animals etc etc etc.

Here in NH at a local town hall residents voted for a law that each and every building permit must have a new and updated lot survey - even if the last one is 6 months old. We have stone wall boundaries here older than our Govt -

God help America

NH, we have to do surveys for each exterior building permit. I think we have had 6 done for this property. They need to know if you did anything to the property since the last survey, I guess.............. --50.82.xxx.xx

I have fought off forced annexation of my farm twice. I formed a not for profit corp and sued the city in 2008. They were messing up big time though. They cut deals with a county commissioner to vote yes on a local option income tax if he got cut out of the annexation area. Local industries got cut out and they kept changing the boundaries as a political favor. The city hall meeting for the annexation was where they really lost it when the mayor went off on a tirade against hubby and I and anybody else against his plan. Hubby and I got a police escort out of meeting courtesy of the mayor. Mayor's meltdown was a You Tube hit for a while.

Second attempt fared just as bad. We were organized this time in the beginning. The entire town tried to show up for the meeting and the room was packed, the stairways were packed, and people were lined up down the street. We finally intimidated the city council into voting it down.

We all knew it was a land grab for friends to develop. Indiana has a law where you can force landowners to foot the bill for infrastructure and attach it as a lien against their property. Liens of 100K are not unusual. Over 40% of landowners go bankrupt when this law is applied and guess who gets the land?

I did find out both times that the press always takes the side of the town and the Powers That Be. America needs a real press again. --216.23.xxx.xx

WMH [NC] the town in question must want to award surveyors with instant wealth.

I can understand if it was for an initial subdivision or a new building structure that needs to prove setback laws....but I have lasers and tape measures and can prove my plans in any court without paying a surveyor - Common sense.

Our boundaries dont change and it is against a NH law to move a stone wall. I have granite markers on all dimensions and they too are illegal to move. If that law comes to my town it will be fought

that law makes no sense requiring more than the initial survey no matter how old it is --73.182.xxx.xxx
