The following proposed bill is in committee currently:

HB684, Mobile Home Rent Control

The public hearing schedule for this bill says 03/06/2019 at 02:00 PM LOB Room 302.

This bill would add a new section to RSA 205-A, the statute which regulates landlord and tenant relations in mobile home parks which would enable tenants of a mobile home park to challenge each increase in park rent of $15.00 or more per month. It effectively is rent control.

We cannot allow even a foothold of rent control. It will start here and move on to all other rental property.

Now is the time to call and write legislators to let them know you are against this bill. If available, show up to the hearing and sign in against the bill. You do not have to speak, but can also sign up to speak if desired.

There are other bills as well that impact landlords. HB584, Title Questions In Eviction - a Tenant could question title during eviction which would bump the case to superior court and delay the eviction with other detrimental impacts. --24.61.xxx.xx

Current law on Mobile Home Parks says that if an owner is selling they have to notify Community Loan Fund and negotiate with Residents 1st so they can become a Coop - about 120 parks have gone Coop. Totally un-American in my mind

I have seen what happens to many Coops up close and personal. Giving Millions to people in parks to own their own coop is like giving a bowl of candy to a child.

The far left owns the legislature for now but Gov Sununu, I have been assured, will veto it if passed. I will keep an eye on it.

The left will always propose crazy stuff like Campground tax and LLC tax and then get slapped down by the electorate to be banished to back row again - they can't help themselves

I can see rent control locally in the Republic of Hanover or Republic of Portsmouth or Republic of Keene , etc, but not out in the mainland of NH
