Still getting swamped with calls...
Had someone whose husband works for BCBS and who's self-employed. Their budget could handle a 2-bedroom, maybe a small 3-bed. They're expecting later this summer.
"And how many animals?"
"None."
I tell her about different options I have coming open that fit the information she's given me, and tell her to fill out an application for preapproval.
I go wander off to my desk to find something, and pop onto FB for a few minutes. I see I had a FB message from the same individual; she had contacted me last year looking for a place. I click through to her wall to see what kind of self-employment she does. (She keeps a stall at the local hair salon, it seems.)
Her FB page is swamped with photos of her current litter of French bulldog puppies. Her FB page is swamped with memes about "don't call my Frenchies pugs" and "101 Dalmatians gave me an unrealistic idea as to how many dogs I can keep" and stuff like that.
Auughhhhhh.

In Los Angeles it used to be a total of 3 animals. But since there are so many animals in shelters, the city raised the limits. Now someone can have 4 to 5 animals depending on the type, cats, dogs or both.
My applicants can't even clean their shoes before they walk into my rental, how do I expect them to clean up after their pets? --47.156.xx.xx |
