I just got off the phone with my bug guy.
I asked “What’s the latest on bedbugs?” He said “It’s raining bedbugs!”
He said his BB calls ebb and flow but since Oct he has been swamped with calls and will probably slow down in Spring. His theory is that school started and now students are carrying them to school and sharing them with other students who carry them back to “clear” homes. Plus coats laid on chairs, buses, etc give the bugs extra places to cling.
He commented that nursing homes are popular for the critters - visitors and grandchildren from all over creation come visit Granny, maybe sit on her bed or easy chair creating a transfer.
We pretreat every home at turnover and review my lease page educating the new res on BB prevention. This seems to be helping.

You pretreat at every turnover? what does that cost you? do you have the pro do it or a handyman and you get the supplies yourself? I met a guy with a 14 unit and he is paying $9500 to get rid of bedbugs,he had a bid from another company at $14000.I have a guy who charges me a few hundred and seems to solve the problem but it seems like one of those things they can charge someone a lot for if they don't know any better --72.231.xxx.xxx |
