In follow up to my earlier post about the tenant who complained about a skunk who took up residence under her SFH porch. I listened to the posters on this board and provided the trap and labor to take care of it.
Over the last two weeks, no fewer than 6 skunks, including two freakishly large specimens have been removed and humanely relocated to a refuge miles away. Hope we got all of them as I sealed up the hole today after several days of no skunk. They seemed to like peanut butter better than cat food or salad greens.
So, how would I know if there still are any left inside? --98.13.xx.xxx |

They'll most likely dig there way out if they can. --50.32.xxx.xx |

They will probably dig again. I tried to get rid of ground hogs under my house in country and got an opossum instead. --73.120.xx.xxx |

Next time before you close up the hole spread some flour or even lime on the area just inside & outside the hole. Leave the hole uncovered or fashion a one way door. You will be able to easily see any tracks left by animals coming & going. Once you no longer see any tracks going in you should be safe to seal the hole. --96.237.xx.xx |
