Just perspective for what it's worth. This is kind of part of my constant disasters post from a week or 2 ago. I have a totally remodeled unit that always needs maintenance. For some reason, some of the remodeled units are like this. Some older ones never need anything.

Since March, I've changed a sink basket strainer, tub surround, bad hard wired smoke alarm and today will be a thermostat that has went bad. Not tenant caused issues, just maintenance issues.

On the other hand! :) Since March I have been collecting rent on a dump slum of a house I bought, that I've never even been inside of.

Hahaha. --50.32.xxx.xxx

Currently in the process of taking out a half-bath and turning it into a closet. That half-bath has consistently attracted so many problems, and none of my guys have gotten a tenant-proof fix right-- I'm sealing off the plumbing and being done with it. --96.46.xxx.xx

Deanna, my son turned a half-bath that was right off his foyer into a much needed coat closet. Although you now have to go up or downstairs (townhouse) to get to a bathroom, the coat closet is used far more than that bath ever was! --50.82.xxx.xx

I sure hope the inside of the one you have never been inside of is OK.

One of my area landlords had tenants remove all the kitchen cabinets and burn them. Tenants can be awfully destructive if they put a little effort into it.

I've seen two different mobile homes where the tenants set fire to the floor and you could stand in the livingroom and look down the great big hole and see dirt underneath the house. --174.216.xx.xxx

The remodeled one had to be done. It was an uninhabitable hell-hole when I bought it. The occupied one, who knows, it's occupied. That's a step in the right direction. --50.32.xxx.xxx
