I recently had to clean a plastic tub surround that was encrusted with nasty. The soap film had eyes and tentacles. I read about using Dawn dish soap and vinegar for tough jobs. I mixed 2 cups vinegar with 1 cup dawn and put it in a spray bottle. Spray it on, wait an hour, and the film scrubbed off easily. Shake sprayer once in a while to keep it mixed.
Still a nasty job, but, the mixture made it easier. Vinegar smell is a little strong but not too bad.

Thank you! I'll remember this one. I don't do much of the cleaning anymore, but if it works that good, it's definitely worth remembering. --98.175.xxx.xxx |

Please let me know if your sinuses survive that and any othr physical effects you might have from mixing the two.
Don't ever mix bleach and ammonia. That was the poison gas used in WW I. I did it one day when I was a kid to clean a really dirty linoleum floor. I ended up with the worst runny nose ever for two weeks in the summer. But I guess I could have died. --73.178.xxx.xx |

Yep! Vinegar and blue Dawn. Even better if you heat the vinegar first. --172.56.xx.xxx |

Not long ago I purchased extra strong vinegar 5x the acetic acid content,..a few drops of dawn and a pump sprayer and thus a super weed killer,..well it kills the top of the weeds very quickly,.day or two,...roots die when the plant can no longer provide food. Roundup et al may be more efficient, but I rather not use exotic poisons if possible. --66.30.xx.xxx |

Thank you very much for this tip!
A neighbor used some sort of similar mixture to kill weeds in his yard. Anyway, thanks again and best of luck with your rental(s). --67.188.xxx.xx |
