Not from Maine, but traveled there couple times.. it is quite some driving if you stay at southern tip and the LLs are further north.. This time of year, the parks probably are still beautiful.. Acadia national park is astonishing if you go at the right time..

If you get to Bangor, stop at the Bangor Police Department to see the Duck of Justice and marvel at their collection of antiquated justice equipment displayed museum-style. I lived in Millinocket Maine many many years ago. My family had a cottage on Keewayden Lake when I was a child, spent every summer there. My brother and SIL still live up there, in Ogunquit.

I am from Maine. Bangor. Chances are you are not coming that far. But if you do a visit to the Duck of Justice is worth a stop. Check out Bangor Police Department’s Facebook page. It is really neat.

Unfortunately, I will be working tomorrow. And my husband’s HS debate season starts tomorrow. So we are unavailable.

Enjoy the drive. The foliage is very colorful right now.
