I would not consider this person as a tenant and would reject. However, if in the future someone with a similar criminal background applies to your place, that person legally would be entitled to your lenient standard? Anyway, please share what happens if you take in the person and best of luck with finding a good tenant if you do not. --107.3.xxx.xxx |

OH no, that's really bad. Anyone who would get sexual stimulation from poor little children forced to do things to one another or to or with an adult to be photographed, is really sick. Run. I feel sorry for his wife and his kids. I wonder if he is selling their photos now. People will these issues are mentally ill and often reoffend and no one really knows how to cure them. --73.178.xxx.xx |

CJ,
"how bad" is totally irrelevant. The SEX OFFENDER label on him makes him untouchable as a renter no matter what the offense. Read that again.
If you rent to him the neighbors will go berserk!!
ANYTHING to do with children will make them DOUBLY berserk! I hear even the other prisoners hate child SOs.

Ew, no.
SO's usually have an amount of selfishness, impulsiveness, and a certain amount of remoteness between (their actions) and (consequences of their actions). Just being a SO isn't an automatic disqualifier, especially since getting onto the SO list can make them very, very aware of the rules.
However, anyone involved in the victimization and exploitation of kids, is not someone I feel like doing business with. --166.137.xxx.xx |

Where do you think the initial material comes from?
It harms someone, don't you think?
They're helping cultivate that business model by creating demand for that kind of material.
That said-- I do know a person in my circle of friends who was a detective, back in the 90's. He was working with the FBI and helped infiltrate a child pornography ring. But when the FBI snapped the trap shut--- they threw him under the bus and charged him as well. He spent years in prison, and it ruined his life, and he'll always have that mark against him--- even when the whole reason he got involved was (a) at the bequest of the LEO's, and (b) to help shut down that kind of criminal activity.
So, there's the teeeeeeeeeeeeeeniest chance that not everyone who's charged with a Possession count is a sick, sick person.
But I wouldn't hold my breath that your applicant was also a do-gooder who got betrayed by the Feds. --96.46.xxx.xx |

It's bad enough getting your house listed on the sex offender websites. It's 10 times worse getting your house listed as occupied by a pedophile.
