On a title search, what does one conveyance out mean? I just got a title search back from an attorney that I use and that is a note on the side of the paperwork. I haven't had a chance to talk to her yet, so I figured I would ask here quickly. --174.201.xx.xxx |

it means they only checked back to the last warranty deed.
I always want a 60 to 100 year search. 60 was standard for many years but in this area, often times that is only one search back as original owners still own houses built in the 50s and 60s and I want to know what went on when the lots were laid out. --72.70.xxx.x |

keep this in mind when refinancing. If your using the same atty as the first time-- they don't go back 100 yrs. They already did the original one--- so ask your atty to cut you a break on the title work since there only checking to the last title search. --99.103.xxx.xxx |
