Well, as it turns out, the lady who accused me of racial discrimination is still trying to get me to rent to her. As you might recall from the earlier string, I blocked her. She apparently figured that out and went and got a google voice number to get around the block. She texted me for a showing. I didn't know it was her and asked that she call. She called and I listened in to the voice mail and it was her again. I blocked the new number. I guess we're going to be playing this game for awhile. I'll have to let all calls go to VM before I answer and screen them. I wouldn't put it past her to try anything at this point including sending decoys and testers. She's persistent.
I can only imagine the challenges I'd face letting someone like this in and then having to evict them.

They process the complaints - have to justify the office and staffing cost, stay consistent with your policy/policies. One tenant claimed I was discriminating against her because I didn't allow her to park an extra car on the property, in a no parking fire zone! Someone had slashed tires on that car because she kept parking it in front of a neighbors house and the owners were handicapped and needed to park close by. When the investigating branch of Housing found out I purchased and installed good quality used tires for her second car so that she could remove it from my property, they dropped the case against me.

Read and follow the process I outlined in my post last week "Automate screening." You will learn who this gal is before saying a word to her, or you can reject her application because she lies to you on the pre-screening/application.

It is entirely possible that one day it COULD ACTUALLY result in a complaint.
