I’m at work, can’t access VRLTA from here. Need to take action as soon as I’m off.
Would someone please check fo me how much notice is legally required to kick out (of the rooming house) a tenant who has committed a crime, but not yet convicted. On video threatening to shoot another roomer and police were there this AM called by the one who was threatened. He is going to file charges with the magistrate today.
This is clearly a “move out immediately” situation, and I have already left a vm telling him so. I will be following up with written notice this afternoon, and need to be sure it is legally correct and enforceable if he should decide to push back.
MANY thanks to anyone who can help.

need restraining order--- advise roomie to get belongs out before police have him locked up for violating it. that might motivate tenant to move ASAP. --99.103.xxx.xxx |

I don't know about Va but in NC you can expedite an eviction for bad behavior (on the property) because there is nothing to "cure" like unpaid rent. Call an attorney. --99.182.xx.xxx |
