On my three story building with rain gutters I installed gutter screens to divert leaves and other item from falling into the gutters. This way I only have to clean them every 10 years, not annually. Look into this solution...They come in plastic and metal.... --47.156.xx.xx

I get a roofing company that has been around a long time to do the gutters. All of these people have to be watched as they are either tired or lazy. You have to know when they are coming and go there. The screen covers can be dislodged by squirrels or birds. There is a lot of small stuff that gets through. If the screen is too fine, water is flowing over during rains. It it's right size small crap is getting in and it will be stuck right at the downspout and has to be cleaned by lifting the cover somehow. I have this issue right now and have to get the roofer who cleans gutters to go up on two roofs. One has gutter guard and one had it taken off because it gets pushed in the middle and creates problems from debris piling up on top of it at the push in. I had two workers come out and I had to act as the foreman and get them to put a ladder up. They were more interested in the fact that my cellar windows have a grid on them. They didn't realize I was near enough to hear them. I guess they were going to come back for my copper piping one night. I tried a company that is national with franchises. They don't tell you when they are coming and all you find is a bill in the door of the building. I don't like not being on the premises when someone is on my property. There are just no really good solutions for two to three story buildings except to find a roofer that has guys who do that. . --73.178.xxx.xx

The installers used small sheet metal screws to screw the front of the aluminum gutter guards to the gutter itself. I have had to problems with any animals or birds disturbing the gutters guards. --99.165.xx.xxx

Been in this house since'72 the apartment was built in'66 didn't clean any gutters yet.Some tree limbs fell on the deck in the last storm,still there,want to vet rid of them,for me,be my guest.........
