Bet, ( or any other MA. LL using Clearnow). Do you use their screening service? It says it charges the applicant $38.00. I know we can't ask for an application fee in MA, but they are paying Clearnow, not me. Thoughts?

That amount is a rip off. If you use Mr. Landlord Credit service's, your costs start at $9.99 and up to $20+... --47.156.xx.xx

I've used it. The Mr. LL Credit Service requires a home inspection, plus people fuss at paying "me".

When they pay an online service, they don't seem to complain as much. It is strange.

It gives you a decent, but partly blanked out, copy of the credit report.

If you get the whole credit report with the circles then it is OK, many unknowing landlords get a recommendation which is as good as a weather report, chance of snow tmrw and the next day, when the clouds are dispersed the sun could shine thru, it will be icy where the road is frozen. --76.188.xxx.xx

The service I use also does an annual home inspection but it is well worth it. I would use the one on MR LL but it doesn't provide scores for the 3 major providers.

That is the same problem with ClearNow and other landlord friendly sites where the tenants pay directly. They don't necessarily use the most comprehensive service just the ones they get the best discount from. Every reporting agency misses something so to me it's important to see all 3. --174.193.xxx.xxx

I'd recommend the Mr. LL service. The at home inspection was no biggie. The lady that came was professional and quick -- that's all she does. --68.61.xx.xxx
