Best advertising dollars I spend is bandit signs.I have learned in my area what cities and towns will allow them by putting them up and seeing what towns call and yell at me.I put them on phone poles,sometimes they last 1 day sometimes I get a year out of them.The sellers who call me on bandit signs are clearly the most uneducated gotta sell it now people that answer any of my various forms of advertising --72.231.xxx.xxx |

I've had good luck with them in the past, especially lower end stuff. Most signs from me and competitors are in "Class C" areas.
Your average Class A seller isn't going to call a sign on a post.
Where to put them? Probably where most of the wholesalers in your town already have their signs posted. Look for a high traffic count street corner with a telephone pole to nail it to or get those little metal fence stands.
How to keep code away? Don't post bandit signs. ;-)
Or you can post them in yards of homes you already own. It's only a code issue in public spaces most times. Freedom of speech and all that....yadda, yadda...
One person I know has a TracPhone that only gets used as an inbound line for their bandit signs. It's not tied to any account anywhere. I suppose a highly motivated code enforcement person could ask a judge to subpoena records from Wal-Mart to find the name of the debit card used to buy minutes on those phones.... Mine just says WE BUY HOUSES and my phone number,remember somebody has to be able to read it while driving by.Color is more important than wording.Blue and white and Black and white work for me,I tried red and white and my responses fell way off so I would never use red again.I have never tried it but I have heard that black and orange is supposed to work pretty well.I get 18x24 1 sided for about $200 for 100 signs delivered to my door --72.231.xxx.xxx |

Signs work.
When I was actively marketing this way we put them in the yards of our project house.
We get them up wherever we can but not be obnoxious.
I have a house on a busy 4 lane highway with thousands? of cars going by each hour. I'm not anxious to finish that house because signs there work for me and nobody complains.
I think this is very local. Only one other investor in my town has such signs and he's not very active with them. I drive to other towns and see multiple signs on one utility pole.
It's just one of many ways to market.
2 speakers at Convention touched on this and I know it's in their course.
