Friday I am closing a 5 unit I won at foreclosure auction.$6901 price which is partially offset by a $1800 water bill which I got the bank to give me credit for..The day I won the auction I left cards at all doors,there were 2 tenants,turns out 1 committed suicide at the house about 3 weeks before the auction and 1 who has not returned any of my notes left on his door to contact me,what he doesn't know is the water is scheduled to be turned off tomorrow for non payment of the water bill and since I don't own it yet I am not paying the bill until I do own it.I think he will call once the water is actually turned off with an excuse.Lets play the game of who can predict the correct excuse he uses when he calls for why he didn't call until the day the water is turned off. --72.231.xxx.xxx |

1) My phone was turned off / I lost it, and today it miraculously appeared within minutes of my water being shut off.
2) I was going to call you (last week, a few days ago, yesterday), but I just got so busy!
3) It was late when I saw your card and didn't want to disturb you.
4) My girlfriend had to borrow my phone last week and just returned it to me today.
I've had all of these excuses, btw. There's a freaky correlation between unpaid rent and missing/lost/borrowed phones and sudden bouts of courtesy! --173.19.x.xxx |
