I did a post on this yesterday, but it went to the land of the spam filter, never to return....ah well...

Ever since upgrading machines to Windows 10 I can't get the pic page to work. I can log in fine, but when I try to get into the admin tab I get an error saying I need the latest Flash. Chrome is supposed to have it built in, but I still tried downloading the update to no avail. Doesn't work with Edge either.

Anyone having any luck on a W10 machine?

I don't know if it's a Windows 10 problem for me, but a while back I had to download an Acrobat update from the site to get the pic page to work. I've tried several times and it never worked and I haven't been able to use the pic page since. --50.107.xxx.xxx

I was able to get it to work last week, but I had a slightly older version of Chrome.

Can you get the legacy version of IE to work on your Win 10 machine? --131.151.xx.xx

I have Win 10 Pro and flash hasn't been a problem although I hardly ever use it anymore since I use Chrome exclusively and Chrome started to phase Flash out in 2016 and went to HTML5. If you want to use Flash you need to do so manually.

Have you installed the new Creator update? had to reinstall some programs and features after the upgrade. If it's not that you might want to chat with MS Win support.

As for Edge I tried it and am not a fan. --71.75.xx.xx

Chrome does have Flash built in, but it may not run it on some sites without a push... See:

support.digication.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003963468-Enabling-Flash-for-Google-Chrome-Windows-Macintosh-

You can do the "Allow sites to run Flash" option.

If your Chrome doesn't look quite like that and you instead just see an option at the top to "Ask First" and then a list of Block and Allow, you can try either turning off Ask First -- or you can add this exception to the Allow list:

[*.]mrlandlord.com

That may do it. (My old Pic page seems to be gone or I can't log into it, so I can't test this myself.)

Ok -- I messed with a bit more and got to a page where it doesn't load Flash so that I could see the problem. Then I added [*.]mrlandlord.com to the Allow list and it works. So, it should work for you.

This is on a Windows 10 PC with the latest updates and latest Chrome. So, should be like you and should solve the issue for you.

Strange I have the latest Win 10 updates and I have flash turned off in Chrome and I'm not having a problem. --71.75.xx.xx

NC: Are you using Chrome to do things on the Pics pages? It requires Flash -- so if you have it turned off in Chrome and are using Chrome -- then "not having a problem" doesn't make much sense.

The Pics page is old and simply requires Flash for certain things.

Also, exactly what do you mean by "I have flash turned off"? The latest version of Chrome with Flash built in literally does NOT HAVE AN OPTION to turn it "off." You can go into the settings mentioned above and tell it to block all sites. But there literally isn't an "off" option for Flash in the latest version of Chrome. Therefore, I'm not sure what you mean by "I have flash turned off in Chrome."

JOHN: In the setting / content section where the "ask" is I have every site that has asked as blocked. When asked I refuse it and it gets added to my list of blocked sites. --71.75.xx.xx

Ok, as I said, that's different than turning it "off" -- which isn't an option. :-)

So, the MrLL site is pretty old and doesn't do a good job of "asking." Is it in your blocked list? I'm just curious.

The latest Chrome only "asks" if you want to use Flash if it considers it an "important" part of the page. Otherwise, it won't even ask and only works if you manually approve it or change the "ask" setting.

That's why it isn't working for Sid -- it isn't asking him and it isn't blocked. It's in a limbo state that happens with sites that Chrome don't think NEED Flash to work (and it is simply wrong about this site when it comes to admin'ing your own Pics page).

I do not have real chrome - but some shiny mylar film, comes on many car parts but it peels easily. For the internet I use firefox and nearly everything works fine, I have all new windows except for 3 at home and nearly everything in rentals is the vinyl sash style too. --76.188.xxx.xx

JOHN: Mr LL is not in my blocked list but I have never been asked to allow it either. All I know is that it has never been an issue. I do know that I always used to get notices when a website required flash but I haven't seen that since I switched to Win 10 Pro. Perhaps is it just working in the background without my knowing. Truthfully, if it works I don't think about it. --71.75.xx.xx

It wouldn't load for me this morning. I had to update Chrome, then add the site to my always allow list. Not difficult, but did require the extra step. --131.151.xx.xx
