Is there a product for filling cracks that are a little too wide for caulk? I don't like the look of the yellow foam, is there anything else? Thank you..!!

Depends on how big. You can soak some paper towels with water and roll it into a worm-shape like play-doh and stuff those cracks before caulking. It takes up a lot of space, making caulking easier. Depending on what you're doing, you may need extension jambs. (Assuming that since you referred to spray foam) --50.32.xxx.xxx

DAP makes a foam called DAPtex in a black and blue can that is white when cured, it is a latex foam that is easy to clean with water and is minimal expanding so it doesn't blow out all over the place. If it is just a bit too wide to caulk use a backer rod. A foam rope. It is a filler that you can then caulk over. --96.236.xx.xx

Cracks in what? In cement or concrete, try hydraulic cement. You can also stick foam backer rods into larger cracks and cover with caulk. --73.141.xxx.xxx

Steve,

If the crack is on the floor consider filling it with foam rope then elastomeric (rubber) caulk or Quickcrete crack filler. It's a liquid and dries flat and smooth, nice n purty.

Another vote for Dap in a can.

For large cracks in just about anything you can use one of the low expansion spray foams to fill the bulk of it. You can also use scrape pieces of foam pipe insulation as a backer for large cracks. Once you have the foam in place, you can use caulking to smooth things off. Our preferred caulking for wide cracks is either Big Stretch or OSI Quad Max in a tube or spray can. Lots of times we just use the spray OSI to fill the cracks & to provide a weather tight paintable surface. --72.93.xxx.xxx

If this is around a tub where it meets the wall you can use a good outdoor plaster to fill in and then caulk over it. Neatness counts. I have seen some with window putty smoothed out nicely that lasted a long time. --73.33.xxx.xxx

I apply caulk, and then apply more caulk, and then still more, until it is filled.

As I tell my workers, caulk is my best friend.

Although sometimes I do need to use spackle as well.
