Very slow rental market here, this is the first resonable phone screen I've had in over a month. Retired state trooper, now working at corrections center. Wants to bring small dog (ad says no pets but need to get it rented). Carpet is old so only concern with dog is the laminate flooring, an uncleaned "accident" could seep between the cracks and cause issues. Older gentleman who was remarried last year and is moving due to "issues with the wife". Could see potential lease break if they reconcile. Current wife is also a police officer. Never had it come up, but I generally perceive cops not much different than criminals. It depends on the cop though. The one's higher up generally have it more together whereas the guys in the street are often thugs themselves. The complicating factor is that they see themselves as above the law and for all practical purposes often are. I'd have to think long and hard about it. --64.121.xxx.xxx

From personal experience, I would rent to big cops but not to small ones - the short male cops in my experience were very physical / violent to civilians compensate for their size and hated being short and seemed to take it out on others. Big male cops were laid back and easy to get along with. No opinion on female cops --201.140.xxx.xx
