This state just keeps getting weirder! We now have gotten federal permission ( big surprise) to inject another $190M into the state’s shelter system that is rapidly running out of money. They now have $647 Million dollars in a system that they swore was going to run out in just a few days. They took the money from the free healthcare fund “ supported by the sentiment that housing is health”. The mentality is that all the invaders get free healthcare just by signing up for the free housing so it is all interchangeable. There research says that having housing is better for their health. I think we can all see how dangerous this is. Coincidentally, there is a push to charge a new transfer fee on on real estate transactions. Not the average homeowners, just the people who sell bigger things ( like multi family homes). The Supreme Court is hearing the case today that will determine if outlawing homeless camps on public land is unconstitutional. I almost hope they leave the homeless camps alone. We can’t take anymore here.

I had multi's in the hood during the Dukakis erra and he was running for prez on the "Mass Miracle". His administration would fund home repairs for welfare recipients. So I upgraded an oil furnace to gas and mailed them the bill for my welfare mom. Yup, the state paid in full.

If housing is mental health then penthouses must be even better. Those megayachts that the really rich have would be even better in all probability. They will soon put the invaders in every penthouse and megayacht. Of course we the taxpayers will foot the bill.
