It popped up in my facebook feed.. don't you love it when new gadgets or tools actually help make our lives easier..

If it works as advertised, I will put it in every bathroom sink and no more clogged sink.. anyone?

Do you mean something like this?

The biggest draw back I see is you have to reach into dirty water to open it. I've tried a similar thing for bathtubs which I call a toe tapper drain, I ended up removing them because tenants couldn't seem to operate them. --71.174.xxx.xx

It looks to me like that would only work in a tub or shower not a sink. In our sinks we have mostly gone to a basket strainer that can be easily removed and taken out. If a customer complains about not being able to stop up the sink then we will put the sink stopper back in but no one has done that so far. --99.92.xxx.xxx

I have a similar 1 in my kids bathroom sink. It came with the new faucet, it works pretty good I guess, sometimes it gets stuck and I have to grab it with my fingers and pull it up to get it to “pop” open. Not sure what makes it stick, it’s only once I awhile though. --173.48.xxx.xxx

The toe stopper tub drain is not that great and tenants are also not familiar with it. Can't imagine a sink version would have better traction w tenants --99.203.xx.xx

Those are what I install in new bathtubs. Easy to unscrew and replace versus when they Hulk Hogan the trip levers. --70.44.xxx.xx
