Is there a way to go after a person's state & federal tax return as partial payment on a judgement award against them? We received a judgement but no money. The person said they weren't going to pay us. 208.223.205.166

You might want to try contacting the court clerk yourself for assistance. If your not comfortable doing this, pass it over to a collection agency or attorney to handle. Remember, there is nothing you can't do yourself that a collection agency or attorney can do for you. Keep pursuing 198.133.22.68

I won a judgement yesterday as well. Can "Reid from KS" or anybody else tell me the procedure for attaching wages?

Thanks. 152.163.207.83

Larry, in Columbus our municipal court has a booklet that covers garnishing wages. Perhaps your clerk of court also has a booklet that they can send you. It's been awhile since I have done one but it was basically after you got your judgement you go to the clerk of courts with the judgement or your case no. so they can pull it up and they have you fill out some garnishment paperwork and they send the garnishment papers to the debtor's employer. The employer will fill out the paperwork and send it back to the courts. There is a formula that is used to figure out how much can be garnished each month. The courts will send you a check after the employer garnishes the debtor's wages and sends the court a check. We also have to pay a small fee. Good luck. 198.80.62.10
