State Specific Question About: MASSACHUSETTS (MA) Hi I have a problem w/ my tenant who hasn't paid rent and utilities since September..He also owes me money that I lent him before..his contract w/ me is ending in April..How can i evict him and claim everything he owes me including the money I lent him I'll apreciate if somebody could give me some advice Regards --24.91.242.66 |
| You don't wait until his lease ends if he isn't paying rent. You need to get an attorney-one that does evictions. Go Monday. Otherwise you will be out even more money waiting until his lease ends in April. Then in April do you think he really is going to move? --152.163.252.193 |

You gave a tenant money? Did he use it to pay his rent? Is this for real? I am sorry, you need more help than you can possibly find here. --216.148.246.134 |
| Evict him. Then take him to small claims court for the money (i.e. loan) he owes you since lending is a seperate issue. --67.29.223.187 |
| Can I move in and borrow some money when he moves out? I need a free place to stay for a while, and a little spending money too. Thanks --64.12.96.135 |

Okay, go into your basement and create a time machine, then travel back in time to septemeber and start eviction process. Good luck. :) --199.250.13.98 |

YOu are not a landlord. SO sell your rental immediately while you still have one to sell. There are lots and lots of different business. You are not cut out to be a landlord if you can't evict someone. --64.12.96.135 |
| Get a lawyer! evict today! Sue tenant for back rent and damages! You will never see another dime from this crook. How would you like it if I walked up to you, put a gun to your head, and took all your money. Well, that's what this tenant has been doing to you since September. --24.153.161.186 |
| It would help your case if you got a receipt for your "loan" Please tell me you got a receipt. --152.163.252.193 |
| You need to start the eviction process by issuing a 14 day notice for non payment. Since it sounds like you aren't familiar with this process, you should contact a lawyer. It can be complicated if you've never done one before and if you do something wrong, you'll end up having to start over again or the tenant will end up winning. --24.128.227.165 |
