I had asked previously about berber carpet, and someone replied that animals or kids could easily pull and snag berber and make very noticble runs in it.

My reasons for liking berber are it being designed for indoor/outdoor I thought it would hold up better to cleaning. I steam clean about every 3 months or so. I thought it would be more durible. I also like the texture.

I know that nylon comes in many diferant styles and grades. I want something that will hold up well to alot of trafic and cleaning, and something that is not much more expensive than berber. With kids and pets I don't want to spend a fortune on carpeting and then have the dreaded "koolaide accident". I also don't want apartment brown. I'm thinking more along the lines of a tan or kacky color.Any sugestions? --209.209.67.145

If you don't want Koolaid stains on your carpet, don't allow Koolaid in your house. Koolaid is nothing but sugar and chemicals. Your kids will be better off drinking water, milk, and juice.

Any of my tenants make a Koolaid spill on the carpet, they are charged for it. --64.73.5.76

A few of the responses to this discussion were deleted because they lacked the professionalism that many visitors value when they come to this site. We have provided a feature on the main index so that you can view the author of any question before taking the time to read the post, so that if you prefer not to respond to any particular author, you may do so. If you do respond to any question, may I ask that you please do so in a professional manner.

By the way, a regular Q & A viewer sent me an email asking if we could add a unique feature to this Q & A. He said he would be willing to pay a little extra, if he could easily save some of his favorite discussion links in a "My Favorites" section that would be incorporated right on this website. That sounds like a idea that many would find useful including myself. I am asking this week on the website's landlord survey if others think this is a good idea. I would appreciate if you take time to vote to let me know your preference. --152.163.207.191
